The climate change stage of change measure: vehicle choice experiment

چکیده
Various measures have been proposed and validated to assess environmental motivation explain peoples’ consumer behavior. However, most of the are rather complex, sometimes comprising dozens items. In order overcome associated response burden, goal our research is validate a much simpler measure motivation, namely Climate Change-Stage Change. To do so we analyze data from discrete choice experiment in which drivers decide purchase car with different levels CO2 emissions also their three alternative measures. The results show that assessed Change explains choices as well more complex Our findings substantial implications for researchers they may be able climate-relevant – significant factor many single question.
